Dear %%First Name%%,

Welcome to the Spring Edition of the MILS Employment law email bulletin.

Please note: In this bulletin we aim to keep you up-to-date on some of the latest developments in employment law and although the bulletin is not intended to provide a comprehensive summary of all the changes to the law, we hope to highlight some key areas of change for motor industry employers.

With the successful rollout of the vaccine programme and the government having published a roadmap for the lifting of the current coronavirus restrictions, hopefully the return to a more normal way of life is on the horizon. The impact of the pandemic on business has not however gone away and will continue to present challenges in the workplace for some time to come.

In this quarterly update we take a look at some changes to the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme before it comes to an end in September. We go on to look at the coming into force of the IR35 legislation, the lifting of advice on shielding for the clinically vulnerable, and increases to the National Minimum Wage. Finally, we discuss some key developments in the case law.
